For sale is a Winchester Model 70 Classic Super Grade .338 Win Mag, with five-digit serial number, excellent plus condition. I have shot it very little, bedded the front ring and recoil lug, free floated barrel and sealed the inletting. I had the barrel professionally cut from it’s original 26” length to 23 1/2”, and professionally crowned (much nicer than original - I have no idea why these guns were shipped originally with such long barrels, especially in .338). The rifle shot one-inch or less with 250 grain Nosler Partitions; I shot it very little. Stock has beautiful figure (see photos), metal is pristine except for slight flecking on floorplate. It was new when I bought it and has never been hunted. I bought this gun to take to Alaska on a remote DIY caribou hunt in the Brooks Range, but couldn’t bring myself to subject it to the abuse it would have had. It sure feels nice and will certainly hold zero well. Has a great trigger pull of about 3#. $725 shipped CONUS. Personal or bank certified funds; no PMO or PP please. https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbt...s/14371373/new-haven-m70-super-grade-338

I bought this gun to take to Alaska on a remote DIY caribou hunt in the Brooks Range, but couldn’t bring myself to subject it to the abuse it would have had. I looked thru the pictures before reading this and was thinking the same thing. Beautiful hunk of wood on that one, love the SG's with the red pad and the ebony tip. Classy. Super buy on this one.
