Thanks Will

Their barrels are excellent. I have just 1 but it is as good or better than the previous 4 Shilens i had in the same caliber.

They are cut rifling, not button. More like Krieger, Brux, etc
I have one on an HS SPL rifle a it’s one of my most accurate.
Google Lon Horiuchi and his relationship with HS Precision before you buy.

I wasn’t aware their barrels were available for other than their proprietary rifles.

Have gotten excellent accuracy from the couple of H-S Precision rifles I've tested for magazine reviews.

First I've heard of them. Have you tried a K&P barrel? DF

DF: I don't have any experience but K&P shows up regularly on the East coast 1,000 yd. match top shooters equipment list. Seems to swing back & forth between K&P and Bartlein, and previously Krieger.

$365 is priced up there with or more than some of the better known barrels. Ethical views aside, I would still rather give my money to a company known for churning out top end barrels

I don't put too much significance on the equipment list as it goes in trends or follow the leader mode and also reflects how long of a wait time Krieger or which ever maker has at the time. But it is a testament to shooting small groups. Not sure if short range or long range is more telling of equipment but I usually look at the long range equipment as barrel wear is more of a factor with the cartridges used than BR type cartridges with their longer barrel life. This is from PRS shooters and the popularity is very different than East Coast 1,000 yd. shooters. HS & K&P are not very popular and or less so than McGowen with these shooters. Hart, Shilen & Lilja are not even represented. There is the belief that cut rifled barrels out last button rifled ones. https://precisionrifleblog.com/2019/01/05/best-rifle-barrel-2/Here there is about an equal split between K&P, Bartlein and Krieger. https://precisionrifleblog.com/2018/07/05/what-the-pros-use-king-2-miles-edition/I can't find the list that I based the original statement on, I could only find 2018 and earlier equipment lists and Krieger was still the most popular choice by far.
