Time to burn another fire. A few years ago I wrote a magazine article about my gunsmith. I wrote, "He is a cantankerous old man." The next time I went into his shop he told me he owed me. I asked, "Why?" "Look at all the rifle boxes around the shop. They are here because of the article you wrote. That was one of the nicest things anyone ever said about me. A hundred years from now someone will find this magazine in an attic and know I lived." I thought, "I couldn't care less if anyone knows I ever lived a hundred years from now."
