Holy smokes! The tenacity of that buck was amazing. Not a bad shot either. I heard him say something about a Rage late in the video and if that was what he was using, it sure is no testimonial. Even when the deer turned to his left, there was no visible blood. I'll have what ever Roundoak is using.

that is one heck of a buck ,its a buck of a life time for sure. good video and a great shot too . but over many years i have seen expandable broadheads that seem to not draw as much blood,so i went back to using hand sharpened Zwickey Broadheads. when i started bowhunting 50 some years ago i remembered that trailing a Zwickey Broadhead/ arrow shot deer even my boots and pants got blood on them ,that never seem to happen with a expandable. i also notice over these years with a fixed blade broadhead a had to shoot it slower for accuracy, because of the slower lower poundage used my bow seem much more quiet when the shot was released and the deer didn`t seem to jump so wild anymore either. bone collector Waddel shot an excellent buck no argument there and made a great shot ! good for him ,Pete53

You can see a huge hole on entry and the off side leg is covered in blood and I thought I saw blood coming out the out side. Don't think it's a BH issue, just one of those things, but the deer was down in about 100ish yards, so what's the issue.
It's also from 2012 so his equipment has changed

The deer was quartering towards him. At that angle he probably only got the rear lower portion of one lung and didn't touch the other lung. I put a similar hit on one a couple of years ago and it went 400 yards.

With the angle of the shot I'm thinking if he had of hit the deer 3 to 4 inches higher it would of been dead a lot quicker. But It still would not of been any more deader' tho....

Higher would have helped for sure. With that said, I'm not a fan of expanding broadheads. My son and I shoot QAD Exodus and have reliable clean pass throughs and good blood trails.

Probably either a Havoc or a T3 or the Dead Meat
