They do suck but it’s a super easy way to pay anyone else whose a user. Also lots of online vendors accept it.

I've been using them for 10 years and haven't had a problem. Makes paying for basically anything online or person-to-person very easy.

Makes paying for basically anything online or person-to-person very easy. Everything but guns and gun parts. Once they catch it, they lock both accounts until they "investigate". Meanwhile, both you and the buyer/ seller are out of luck. Yes, you may have gotten away with it once or twice in the past, but you will get caught.

Ok, what the heck is PayPal and is it safe? I've been using paypal for years. They have my CC number and instead of giving my card number to every Tom, Dick, and Harry, I just pay with Paypal. Now, how they conduct the business, I'm not sure. They will confirm they made the payment and tell you what you will see on your CC statement, such as payment made to so-n-so. They keep wanting me to send more info, but I ignore it. I've been signed up for 10 yrs or so, with no problems. My .02

It's a way to pay without having your CC information all over the place. I haven't had trouble.

They are a left wing group who hate guns. I won't do anything with them.

My publisher pays my royalties through PayPal, so I have to have an account there. Painless and simple. I occasionally buy stuff from eBay and use PayPal Credit, not to stretch out payments (I pay in full within 30 days) but because that adds another layer of buyer safety in case the seller is dodgy. Paypal is very good about refunding payments if merchandise never arrives, for example. Using PP Credit gives me a 30-day no interest security blanket.

Great for sending payments- - - -not so good for receiving. They take a big bite of the total anytime you withdraw money they have received for you, like 3% or so. There's no charge to the party sending the payment, and it adds a layer of security when using a credit or debit card to pay for online purchases. Jerry

It’s a super convenient thing to have. No driving to post office, no driving to bank, no 10 day wait. It’s instant money with security. Plus a lot of online businesses have the option of(pay with PayPal). Don’t have to type everything in(address, cc info etc). I really like it when selling in the classifieds. I can receive payment and have the buyers item shipped within an hour.
Are you part of the problem or part of the solution?

I've bought lots of gun related goods through Pay Pal and have never had a problem. Many times it has been through well known gun businesses like Midway.

Been using Paypal since the late 90's. Nary a glitch. More user friendly with age, now.
