Excellent rig right there. No DBM that holds 150 rounds, No 28” heavy barrel, Scope doesn’t look like a star watcher. Fella could find a 165 load that she likes and fill freezers for a lifetime.

Dingo, how much material did you have to remove from the barrel channel? I've got a 700BDL in 30-06 that could use a new stock and the stock you went with may work out just as nicely on a long action. That is a nice lookin rig..

Yeah buddy! That's a nice looking .308, you should be able to fill a few tags with that rifle.

Dingo, how much material did you have to remove from the barrel channel? . I only removed a few burrs and a bit of roughness on the inside top edge of the barrel channel and the barrel slotted straight in without any gap.

That's nice. I've got the funky chunky overweight cousin. Rem 700 varmint, cut to 20.5". McMillan HTG. Leupold 2.5-8x36 on a 40 moa rail, Timney trigger, Badger Ord alloy floorplate/triggerguard, Wyatt's extended magazine. One of my favorite rifles.
