My Encore 50 cal. does not seem to care what bullet or Sabot or powder. It only cares how clean the barrel is and how constant the powder charge is and how tight you pack the bullet on the powder. The only thing it doesnt shoot is 50 cal. lead bullets I make myself.

Mine shoots everything I tried very well. I just switched to blackhorn, 75 grains by weight. I was using FFFG 100 grains GOEX.

My Encore was new in 2005. i've used all the powders except BH 209. Worked very with them all and worked well with several sabots and bullets. Currently i'm using 120 grains of Black MZ and the 250 grain SST bullet in the crush rib sabot. It's a sub one inch three shot group rifle at 100 yards in the hands of a young friend.

3 50 gr pyrodex pellets, 250 gr Bonded Shockwaves with the black sabot, and a Wolf 209 primer. Clean every shot and no lube. It puts them in one hole at a 100. I know the pyrodex will probably eat a hole out the side of the barrel but I can’t get that kind of accuracy out of other powders in my Gun
