The rifle is a Ruger American Predator. I purchased an SWFA 6X and need 30mm rings. What rings do I need and still be able to use the base that came with the rifle?

Perhaps I should have been more specific. Of those of you that have 30MM scopes which rigs do you use on your rifles?

I just mounted an SS6X on a Kimber Hunter.
I use Leupold STD bases and tried “low” rings first.
They worked perfectly - until I tried to work the bolt......a no-go.... eye piece was in the way.
I had to go to “high” rings to get the clearance needed, in this case.
Your Ruger may allow for lower rings if bolt rotation isn’t as high.....

Basicly, it has a weaver style base which is probably the most widely manufactured style of ring to base attachment or damn close to it. Do you have a Dick’s or Bass Pro around ? They’d gladly bore sight it .

I checked my RAR .223’s bolt lift and it’s significantly lower than the Kimber.

You’re factory bases will work fine. I’d try low Weavers first.
