For those that have loaded Barnes 85gr TRX in a 243 Win and ***KNOW*** what their max oal is, Includeing the 50/1000" off lands, was there a need to load shorter than 2.700" {magazine length) ? Thanks

If I read your question right , you are thinking that the longer you keep coal the better it might be ? If that is correct , I found that the. 050 off the lands worked best as a general rule . Sometimes a little tweaking in one direction or the other made the difference from acceptable accuracy to dam good accuracy .
Also found as with all loading , some rifles require playing the field of powders .

I will have to check when I get home. I know ours are loaded to maximum OAL and I believe that is close to the recommended .050 off the lands that Barnes recommends. Factory chamber and I do know there is quite a jump.

Loaded some today my col was 2.620 , not going off clip even if the rifle had one .
