I had the same thoughts, but my first day would be hilarious.
I've had a running joke of a campaign platform called the "turn out the lights" campaign for years. We are taking down all street lights. On the highway, in town, everywhere. I mean, cars are already required to have headlights, so why the double spending? Then we take all the money made from selling (and money saved by no longer maintaining) those lights, and we buy everybody a headlamp. A good one. Now, you are in charge of your own lighting.
Sell it to the left with "reducing light pollution" and "lowering energy consumption". Sell it to the right with "the government is not responsible for illumination", "small government", etc. Somebody brought up the idea that "unlit areas are less safe", which I would like to see some actual statistics on, but regardless, we have all this light money, so I'm also buying everybody a gun. Now you are responsible for your own lighting, and your own safety and the government has provided you to the tools.

Can’t we find someone normal to run?
CWH, you looking for a career change? Nobody who's met CWH would call him normal. Same thought, but didn't want to go there first!

Lisa seems to be giving mixed signals on the senate impeachment trial....my guess is she will vote to impeach if it comes to that. I can't see a career politician, in a close primary situation, making a counter-party vote that won't succeed. ie it will take 20 Senate Republicans voting to impeach = ain't happening! so why would anyone vulnerable in the next primary give ALL their opponents in the primary a bigger hammer?
...Actually Sycamore, you are sort of right....

She was always an in the closet Democrat one could say, leaned pretty left even by a alaska standards. Her dad had to from what I heard give her a pep talk ride the center of the Republican Party. What her dad did as governor by giving her that US senate is the reason Alaska changed its laws when it came time to select US senator outside normal elections. The talk is she is not going to seek re-election that's why she is doing this. She does not care what her constituents think..

Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.
