I need one.
Beefed up frame and 1-14 twist six groove barrel. Yells out for heavy pig bullets.
I'd have to feel the action first. Knowing Colt, I'm sure it is good.
Gun Shows are almost as comical as boat ramps in the Spring.

Sweet! The real world price should be around $1100.

I have sent inquiries. I believe I can get one at distributor pricing. If it’s less than a grand, I am in.

If the new Python is as good as the original, the price is reasonable

I wonder if Clements could convert it to 10mm?

I’d like to have one with the 4.25 , but not for 1500.00 , kinda steep It is a lot cheaper than a used one If history is any indicator, that will change. When Winchester re-introduced rifles with CRF and the claw extractor, the price of pre-64's tumbled. In the handgun world, Colt Mustangs were trading at our local gun show for +/-$600, depending on condition. Colt started making the Mustang again, and just like that, the demand for the old models all but evaporated. Only collectors were interested in them. I expect to see something similar with the Python. The days of a scratched up, old model Python with a 6" barrel fetching $2800+ are over. People that paid that much will have no choice but defend their decision in an effort to keep the market price as high as possible, but in the long run, it won't make a difference. Demand will fall off steeply. Of course, if the new models have any significant flaws, or if Colt has changed the action, then the old models will hold more of their current value. I wouldn't bet on that happening, however. Just my two cents--I'm sure I'll get change back...

To me the smoothness off the Python action is what set it apart

(I can't imagine Colt barfing it up, but I have been surprised before at the decisions of manufacturers...) I also wonder about the trigger on the new models--will they raise the pull weight in order to "lawyer-proof" it? Interesting days ahead!

Yes, it would be nice if those who get them can determine if the action is as good as the old. The only one I handled was the smoothest action revolver I have ever squeezed the trigger on.

It sure looks the part. Seems to be priced so people will buy one. I'm going to sit on the fence till the dust settles and a few are being used and reported on by some here. Will be hard to resist, and probably hard to find even for MSRP for a while.

There are two on gunbroker that I found, there may be more, but one of those has a fixed price of $2,379.00 and the other is a 1 dollar start with a buy it now of $2379. Looks like the seller is counting on at least two people being highly impatient. https://www.gunbroker.com/Pistols/search?Keywords=colt%20python%202020&Sort=13&PageSize=96
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!
