I'd been hoping to get some squirrels over Christmas but they weren't very active and I was cutting wood during squirrel hours. I do have a couple rabbits in the freezer. Would the rabbits work or should I use chicken thighs? Anyone have a recipe that they like?

If you love someone set them free
If they come back no one else liked them
Set them free again

Rabbits, chicken, possums, coons, weasels, deer.......................from the old time recipes I've seen, they used whatever meat they happened to have. My wife made a batch once and used chicken.

Personally, I like the version we have in my part of the country, called burgoo. It uses pork or mutton barbeque as the meat.
