I honestly don't understand how that happens but the world is full of careless idiots. RIP.

I don't either. Whether is was carelessness or just a horrible accident, we may never know all the details.

Put a few of the killers away for manslaughter and dumbasses will think about things like this before they pull the trigger.

We don't have any details yet but I have a hard time calling any case of total stupidity an 'accident'.

So sad and unnecessary. i thought about taking my boys and GWP to the public gamelands a half mile down the road to chase woodcock on new years day but decided to check the parking area beforehand. Being the last day of deer season someone was there so we went elsewhere to chase squirrels. I prefer not to hunt with those I dont personally know simply for stories like this.

Unless the father was wearing a fur on buck skin suit, and the daughter had antlers growing above her ears, the shooter should spend life without.
NO EXCUSE!

That was no accident, just pure unadulterated stupidity.

We don't have any details yet but I have a hard time calling any case of total stupidity an 'accident'. It's a crime not an accident. If you shoot at a deer and hit someone unseen beyond the target then maybe yeah, accident. Incidents such as this are at minimum manslaughter/negligent homocide. Time state Attorney Generals got a clue. Dumbasses shouldn't be allowed to walk away on this; hunter orange or not. Burn 'em.

Even if they were in full camouflage, the shooter/s should do time, and forgo hunting for life.

The article says 4 hunters were trying to move deer. Like a drive?
Kim Drawdy, 30, and daughter Lauren were fatally shot about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Colleton County near Walterboro as four hunters tried to move deer, the state Department of Natural Resources said.
Also, if the father was 30, how old was his daughter? That's another level of horrible.

This. Always. Positive ID before removing the safety. If you aren’t 100% sure of both what you’re shooting at AND what’s behind it, don’t take the shot. I’d rather miss an opportunity to kill an animal than to kill a person because I was a moron.
