I have a Weaver (Japan) K4x38 on mine. It's all the power I need. There was one for sale in the classified recently, cheap. Don't know if it sold or not.

I have used the Weaver 4x mentioned for over a decade. Never a problem.

I had an older Nikon Monarch 3X9X40 laying around, seems to work quite well on a Knight 50 cal.

Sightron SII 3-9X42 on both of mine. They've performed very well though they seldom leave 3X.

Does anyone still make a straight 1X scope anymore?

I put a SWFA HD 1-6 on my Remington ultimate muzzleloader. 1X is a true one power. IMO 6X is enough power for any longer shots. Took a cow elk at 60 yds in thick stuff Dec 14. Scope was on 1.5X. Scope's black circle with reticle inside helped to quickly get on target. This scope has illumination as well. Got a great deal off their sample list page. https://www.samplelist.com/entire-sample-list/riflescopes.html#brand=SWFA%20SS

Does anyone still make a straight 1X scope anymore? I have a sightron S2 1x scope and a TC 1X. I prefer a red dot so if you're interested I'd sell em both for reasonable if you have no magnification restrictions I'd run a burris FF2 with BDC reticle. figure where the hash marks hit at the range and you're gtg

Try to find a used Leupold M8 4X scope. The last 2 that I bought were about $125 each.

I guess with you selling scopes, you think they are a better deal?

Received that 2-7 Leupold about an hour ago. Works with my Henry .45 Colt like a dream. Probably head to the desert tomorrow and give it a whirl. If I can locate another at that price, I'll buy it and put it on my Mod94 . Thanks again fishnpbr.

Had a Leupold VX-1 3-9x40 on my CVA for a few years. All my shots are inside 100 yards. Never had a problem.

One think I used to do with BP scopes was cut holes in a section of inner tube for the turrets and then slide it over the scope tube to protect from all the carbon residue from leakage at the nipple. I think I still have a discolored 4X Nikon Monarch somewhere!
I think the 1-4X scopes are perfect for a muzzleloader.
