I’ve had good luck with 165 TSX and 130 TTSX, wanna try the 168 TTSX.
Anyone?

I was going to try some in mine, but my lgs was out. So far, every load that I've tried has shot MOA or better!

My Fieldcraft likes it, around MOA. I figure it will work for stuff bigger than deer. It also loves 150 gr corelokts that I got for $13 a box. Should be set for deer for a lifetime.

Saw some chatter that the 168 TTSX in particular don’t do well in 1:11 Tikkas.
Of course that was on Rokslide....take it with the whole salt shaker.

Just looked on Barnes website and they show a twist rate of 1:11 or faster for their .30 cal 180 gr TTSX. They did not specifically list that for the 168 or for all of their bullet weights. Would seem they cherry pick listing twist for the longer bullets in a given caliber. They suggest 1:10 or faster for 200 gr .30 cal TSX and LRX.

My Tikka 30-06 T3X loaded with factory Vor-TX 168 ttsx ammo is my most accurate rifle. The gun shoots all the ammo I have tried in it accurately , but this round is at the top of the heap in terms of accuracy.

My Tikka 695 30-06 shot those 168 grain TSXs just fine, as did several of my friends' 30-06s. My Bergara B-14 Hunter doesn't like Barnes bullets as it has a short throat. It shoots Nosler Partitions just fine. I have another 30-06, a post-64 Model 70 in Sears clothes which has a longer throat. It will shoot Barnes bullets accurately.
I have loaded 168 grain TSXs for two friends. One used his to take caribou successfully, and the other took the best whitetail buck of his life with the same load. Both are sold on Barnes bullets.

My tikka loves em. 168 at 2900+ with big game. Had them at 2950 but settled for 2900ish I’ll have to look up the #s if you want

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

Where are you seating them? All my Barnes have been to the very front of the first driving band.

R Dittto except mine is a T3 and shoots very tight usually touching holes. You could probably get your seating depth from these factory rounds.

I load them in my 5R 300 Win mag. They shoot really well. I like the 150 Barnes in my 06’s

I've used the original 130gr TSX before with excellent results in both accuracy and on game performance. It performed so dang well that I never really had any reason to try anything else and needless to say that I never recovered a bullet. I harvested quite a few deer with this load and it proved to be pure deer poison around here. My brother still shoots this rifle and load.

The Tikkas I had in 30-06 loved the 168 ttsx in Barnes factory ammo.
