Tongues is prescribed in Charismatic/Penticostal type churches.

Those guys will argue to the death that you have to practice like them, Four Square Gospel, to be a top tier Christian.

It only happens within their denominational churches or under that influence.

Everybody else is gonna be disappointed in the end or there is some stinky caca being spread around by these people.

Oh I had this aunt who married in when I was a kid did much the same after taking me and step cousin to church while drunk a time or two.

I had a great Pentecostal pastor as a patient many years. I went to his church many times. Dont know exactly what sect it was. Never saw the weird stuff happen there as I had as a kid in East Texas at a couple of different ones.

I did go to his service and get anointed in oil and hands layed on as instructed in the Bible when I had a dangerous malady. Maybe that's what got GOD to save my life. Regardless, i was saved by the Grace of GOD, by HIS miracles in getting shuttled from inadequate care to the greatest of care and surgery from a chest tumor and a meningioma just below what little bit of brain I have in the spinal canal.

HE has definitely provided a saving hand in other occasions also.

Same church , preachers wife started speaking in tounges and her husband the interpreter . He was standing at the pulpit looking directly into his bible reciting scripture , she was up front in a nervous jerk saying [bleep] over and over never changing .
I know no other language but I got enough sense to know no matter what language someone is speaking the same word over and over does not mean a hundred different words , dialogue or whatever you want to call it .
Not saying all these churches are B.S. , but all the ones I been to , have been.

In my church it is not so controlling. We also don't have that craziness going on. I follow them to a certain point that I believe the Bible supports, but not beyond.

Of course there are 24 denominations of Pentecostalism in the U.S. Kind of hard to put them all in the same bucket.

Bath salts ? Lol , had a neighbor that was on that crap , when he would talk to you he would twist and turn facial contortions. I remember looking at him wondering , why ? Why in hell would anybody enjoy that ?
