I know this isn't really a hub of Tech dudes, but wife crunched her Samsung,

Choices are the 11, the XR, the 8 or even a new 7 (200 bucks) She is frugal guys,

She invented copper wire wire one day trying to stretch a penney, A grand for a phone aint happening....

anyhow, which iphones had issues? Wasnt there one that would bend if stuck in a back pocket, not that shes going to do that.

shopping time.

The one she wants.

There is no risk in buying an iPhone.

Family of five and we all have different iterations. They all work.

We only have four phones. My wife shares hers with our youngest.

Sounds like a 7 will be her best option........it won't bend in a backpack or break her wallet.

My son who basically has his entire office and work product and Avenza Pro mapping forestry package on his phone, and could afford anything bought another 8. Claims it does it all.

Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

The Xr is on sale a Best Buy for $649, the 11 (basic model) is $749.

The difference is the cameras and an upgraded processor.

All others, in the X and 11 are between $1000 and $1400.

The 7 is old and may not be supported any longer for software updates.

Is it stuck in "retard mode" or can you switch it off?

There's nothing more to discuss. They all work great.

Go buy one.

I get a company issued phone, we are given new ones every 2 years, just got newest version a month ago, I don’t even know what version it is, has the 3 cameras on it. I think we started with iPhone 4s. I have had no issues with any of them that weren’t a result of me physically harming them. Software/function/performance has always been fine no matter what version of phone it was. Before iPhones we had blackberries. They were terrible, so I am happy as a clam.
