We had another big rain yesterday. No snow since the little one we had back in November. It's been a very warm and mild winter here.

Checking the calves this morning, the bulls are with the steer calves, I wish I had my camera. One black bull had a beard made of frost

Mornin'. The rain finally turned to snow overnight and I woke up to a dusting. Just started my daily routine; a cup of Java and lurking on the 'Fire.

The 'Fire is my one shop stop for all my Internet needs. News, entertainment, education, enlightenment, fights, stories, stupidity etc.

New Year resolution.........make a few post.

Y'all carry on.

Carefully recutting and improving the outlines of checkering on a gunstock.

Gonna do some sanding and contouring on these grooovy late 60,s and early 70,s sharp angles later.

Might get to the point of stripping this old finish off today.
No biggie if not.
Always another day.

Go grocery shopping with Khan/wife maybe at wally world.
Time to show her I need a change in the menu from her same old comfort zone she buys...

Hunting season is done.....

3rd week of march starts spring turkey.

Winter sucks....

No ice fishing down here.
No snare lines for rabbits to check.
No snowmobiles to run.
No snowshoeing
No x county skiing
No hockey to play
No camp to go to and do some shooting

But also no snow to shovel or deal with to the end of april and 1st week of may.
So that right their in itself makes the lack of all of the above
a winning thing down here in Tn.

Still -4F here this morning early. Out with the sun got a short close part of the trapline checked. Set some things for breakfast on the wood stove before I left, eating pretty good now.

Got up at 5. Had my usual three mugs of java and a breakfast bar to tide me over. Held off running the snow blower until official sunrise - and watched it start snowing again almost the moment I finished. Wifey fixed our usual big Sunday Breakfast at 8:30. Hoping for a poop. Killing time on the innanet until I have to blow snow again or the Packers game starts, whichever comes first. Might tinker with fishing gear.
