I have lost track of what's going on in Virginia, when is the big demonstration in the Capitol supposed to be, or is it still on?

Yep, it's on the 20th. Law makers just passed a law banning the carry of firearms on capitol grounds, so it's on you whether or not you carry but they may very well arrest you if you do so.

That’s not so. Lawmakers passed a rule banning guns inside the buildings. The majority of the rally is outside on the grounds where thousands of peaceful gun owners will be armed. The only reason to go inside of buildings is to lobby to the lawmakers, there will plenty of people on our side doing that.

This is a rule (not law), and the lawmakers who made this rule lied and said the Capitol Police suggested this and then the police stated that was a lie. So we don’t know for sure it will be enforced.

The open call to patriots from the "leaders" of the "right" is to leave your rifles at home

The "left" will have theirs mind you (in the hands of cops willing to commit high treason, which means a LOT of them, probably most of them ) ............but you are supposed to be passive and risk your lives and safety because you are TOLD to.

You have a point, but keep in mind most of the cops are on our side, vote conservative like we do, and don’t approve of what the dems are doing.

Deputies at the three Board of Supervisors meetings I've been too, were solid on our side. Funny, I haven't seen a state trooper at any of the events. I have a good feeling I know what side they'll be on though, and it's not ours. Good thing there's not enough in the counties I move around in to make a damn.
At this point I think it would be a good idea to form county "militias". Groups of like minded folks with a notification system set up and ready to respond to anyone under attack by govt agents trying to enforce any of these new laws.
The Sheriff's that are on the right side of this have that right, to form a posse comitatus, a militia of citizens to defend his county. Culpeper county Sheriff Scott Jenkins has already said he'd do this. He'll be speaking to the VCDL crowd on Lobby Day, the 20th. I'm looking forward to hearing what he has to say, and hope all the other Sheriff's are listening too.
Everyone is hoping this can be fought and won in a courtroom, but not preparing for the possibility it doesn't work is a mistake.

I sure hope you are right, but in my experience, cops will ALWAYS do as they are ordered as long as they get paid. They may "hate it" but they will still do what they are told.

One would think the Virginia state police would have learned after losing their lawsuit for racial profiling.

I wouldn't believe or trust for a minute that police, anywhere, are on our side.

Does VA Law allow for the Governor of VA to suspend/fire Sheriffs?

Scott Israel was canned by FL Governor DeSantis.
