All: Savage and Proof Research got together and made an ultralight. I really, really like Proof barrels. But they made them in LA, so why did they not make one in 7mm RM? 28 Nosler in a 6-1/2lb rifle?.... that might leave a mark, I guess a scope with a padded ocular would help. 280 AI? think of it as a long action 284. Custom shop ought to be able to chamber a Proof Research barrel in 250 or 300 for You Deerstalker, and feed should work just as well as 6.5 creed
