First images of the new Hummer will be in a commercial on Super Bowl Sunday. With 100% of torque available instantly with an electric vehicle, this should be an off road monster. It will compete with the upcoming electric F150 and eventual Tesla Cybertruck..
Haters, do your worst, but remember - Toyoda ain't got nothing, and I know more about the auto industry than you ever will!
I always considered Hummers as overpriced status symbols..... Would probably still feel that way about them regardless of the power train. Although there is a certain market segment that it appeals to and that's why they build them; but I'm not part of that market segment.
Surprised by that the Hummer is a pretty small market in the big picture. Why not a Sierra/Silverado 1500? Or maybe they don't want to sell too many right off the bat? Dunno. I'm more interested to see how the electric F 150 pans out.

Probably banking on attracting the buyers of their first Hummers that were willing to grossly over pay for a glorified POS that had a vague resemblance of a military Humvee..
If they do what Ford has with the introduction of it's Mach E Mustang it'll probably flop. The Mach E is to Todays Mustangs what the Mustang 2 was to the Pony muscle cars of the 60's and that pile of garbage didn't bide well with mustang fans either.
I don't get it, are they all out of names for new cars? Did the guy that created new names for automobiles quit?
Click baiting customers with a vision of an old friend and then surprising them with an odd duck is all it is...don't they call that "catfishing" or something....
And BTW Ford don't have no electric F150......all they have is what $500M bought them from Rivian. It'll probably go over rather well since Ford didn't have anything to do with it... Maybe they should call it an Amazon150 since Jeff Bezos kicked in $700M, it's more his than Fords.
And further more, If you know more about the auto industry that anyone you should have been able to post a link that actually had something to do with the story you are trying to tell.

Do you realize that the Mustang Mach E is SOLD OUT for it's first model run?
If that's a flop, I hope Ford has many more to come! LOL

That's easy to do when you don't release the numbers of how many will be produced. Maybe they are just making 5 of them to start with, ya ever think of that?

I don't know anyone that has a hummer personally, but I do remember a local celebrity here calling into a radio station during a snow storm that had the city pretty much shut down.
He was complaining about sitting on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck and the radio guy was like "wait, I know you have a hummer" and he said they weren't worth a schit on snow. Anedcotal at best but this was during the height of their popularity and I was surprised to hear this guy was off on the shoulder of I-71 stuck in the snow with that monster.
The reason I remember it because I was also on I-71 in a little suzuki 4wd and was having no issues.

have you paid your dues, can you moan the blues, can you bend them guitar strings
While I am not a fan of electric vehicles, it's fun to hear the horseshit spewed by Hummerhaters . I have an H3. Nice truck. Still looks and works good, after 223,000 miles.

I have 2007 H3, the small one for my kid. Not a bad vehicle at all. They stopped making them in 2010. Some of the best paint GM ever did. You can walk up to a 12-14 year old Hummer in a parking lot and you will see most of them the paint looks fresh and very few chips and little fading. 14 year old vehicle looks 5 years old. Some of the black trim looks great and other pieces are junk. Interior has held up very well. H3 had about 10 bugs that showed up. Made form scratch models have that sort of thing. Some were minor, othermore important. Got 125,000 miles and it it still going strong, although I don't like the 5 cyl Colorado motor.
Snow - it's all abot the tires on them.
Electric? Not me.

As Hatari just stated, it's all about the tires. But that's the thing about Hummers - the full size ones, at least. No one buys a Hummer and puts appropriate winter tires on it. You gotta have BIG rubber on the road, or it just don't look right, y'know.

Yes, but so do all the other Colorados on the road.
