They are two complete different issues! I might step on some toes here and this is just my opinion.
I worked for unions the first few years of my career. It didn't take me long to realize the SOME of the
not so ambitious folks were being promoted to higher paying jobs, because it was their turn. I contend
that a person should be paid for the value they bring the company and often unions limit that. I soon went
salary and also dabbled in my own business. If AOC got paid for the value she creates, she would be sent a bill.
Just my opinion.
