At times I like to cook up a big ol' pot of beans. Mostly we don't need so many of the beans.
Today I het up some Bush beans, Onion style, with REAL onions!
What do you folks like?

Bushes are the best that we get up here.....as far as canned beans goes.
I dont mind Van Camps. Use them mainly as an ingredient when fancying up some canned beans in the oven.
I am MAGA.

I have never been a fan of Bush beans. For pork and beans, either ALDI or Fareway are good. Van Camp's have terrible quality control and are often mush.

Bush's is the only one I like that I've tried. Van Camps needs the sauce poured off and replaced with decent bbq sauce to be edible. I'll have to try Aldi's.

I hate to give praise to anything Texas... But if you're gonna open a can of beans and chow down, get these: https://www.amazon.com/HEB-Borracho-Beans-Made-Shiner/dp/B00G065SZA

Luck's Pinto Beans are good. Bush's baked beans are good when doctored up.

I f canned, I prefer the Aldi beans. Add onions, ketchup, mustard, cinnamon, nutmeg and a butt load of brown sugar. Top with many slices of bacon and cook in oven. Yummy!

NOTHING equals a pot of home cooked beans.
Just cook up a big ol pot, the take those you dont eat and freeze in meal sized bags.
Nice to microwave up some on those days when one does not feel like cooking or when ya have that craving for Beans and Cornbread!

I'll soak a lb of pinto beans, cover them with water and cook L&S with an onion, chili powder, a little thyme, jalapeno, salt pork, some garlic.....add a can of stewed tomatoes at the end. Usually on the stove 4-5 hours before it's cooked down and beans are nice & tender. Literally can make a meal with that and maybe some flour tortillas or cornbread. Collard greens on the side with some bacon would be over-the-top.......

Think of adding marjoram (careful!) and maybe some coriander.

I aint buying no Angela Merkel beans! Are we angry at Aldi's and boycotting them because of Angela's merken? I don't shop at Dicks but I've lost track of everything we're boycotting.

Bush's is the standard hereabouts. We don't have HEB or ALDI's. Now, a confession: I've tried most of the many types of Bush's Beans and for the life of me cannot taste much difference between them. I like them all, mind you, but they all taste pretty much alike to me.
I'm a big fan of that Brit favorite, beans on toast for breakfast. I slip a fried egg or two and a splash of hot sauce on top. Wonderful.
