Any one using these??? I see the 3-9x40mm being advertised for just over a $100 and thinking of getting a couple for a loaner 223 and 10/22.

I know that the Fullfield 2 gets a lot of love here, but there is nowhere in my area where I can get my hands on either the Fullfield or the Droptine. I would hate to order them and find out that they are not very good so any feedback would be appreciated.

Pros ??

Cons ??

Thanks, drover

223 Rem, my favorite cartridge - you can't argue with truckloads of dead PD's and gophers.

If you're patient and lurk a bit, the FF II can be had for from $130 to $160, depending on which reticle it has. I bought one from CLNY on sale for $130, then quickly picked up another off Amazon with the BP for $160. Can't say what the differences are between the two lines, as my only, and limited experience is with the FF II. Bought them strictly on the advice of many happy users here, and my son's with the one on his Kimber. I have seen a couple of positive comments here on the DTs, but no real reviews.

Whichever you choose, give Doug at Cameraland a chance to match the price.

Thanks for the reply, based on the lack of responses I do not have a warm fuzzy feeling about them. I see NIB Leupold VX-Freedom listed on the classifieds for around $160 from time to time, I do have a couple of those and they have worked well so I will stay with a known entity.

I had a 3-9x50 that was a good scope. My step father needed a good scope so he wound up with it. It looked as clear as the Fullfield II I have.

I have owned a droptine bino in the past and was very pleased with it. Recently bought a 3-9x50 droptine Scope as a gift for a friend from Doug on his recommendation that it was a little better quality than the Freedom. I currently own 2 Freedoms and am not a huge fan of them. I would not purchase another one. Just my $.02 FWIW. Good luck with your purchase

I bought two Droptine Scopes recently. I have yet to shoot with them. Weight is reasonable. Pretty easy to get behind. Eye relief is acceptable. The glass is good. Sharp, clear picture. Of course nothing matters if they don't function well, but I'd say at this point they are a solid deal.

I recently put a 3x9 on a 10/22. Seems like a decent scope for the money.

I just put my money where my mouth is+. Picked up a FF E1 4.5-14x42 from Doug's sale post. $189 to my door. Midway wants $340. This one's going on a Mach2 to start.

Don't really care for the E1 ballistic aiming thingy, but this is a range toy.
