Novice here. Hope this isn’t a dumb question. Getting ready to mount a DNZ game reaper. The package says to torque the rings at 35lbs. That seems very tight. Will this damage my scope,?

Mounted a scope for a friend yesterday using a DNZ mount. I torqued the base screws at 22 inch-pounds and the rings at 17. 35 seems pretty aggressive for rings.
