Do you mean the Scientists that get paid (through re-search grants) to produce results that support the lefts agenda?

i would agree that climate change is settled science. and maybe even agree that a bit of it is man made. but it ain't what the hollywood crowd are clutching their pearls over. it will be fine for hundreds if not thousands of years. and then there will be some kind of major changes over a longggg time. driving a prius and wearing cardboard underwear ain't making a schit bit of difference. but some people need to be upset or they ain't happy. seems to be in fashion these days.

That's a statement of religious dogma. Not only is a statement like that inconsistent with the very concept of science, but it couldn't be further from the truth. Scientists can tell you only that climate changes (and has for hundreds of millions of years), and hypothesize about causes. They don't speak in terms of religious dogmas as you have. The fact that it has changed for hundreds of millions of years (and that it is following a normal, post ice age, pattern now) is overwhelming evidence that industrialized man has little if anything to do with it.

Very well said.

Nobody who truly understands the epistemology of science would use the term settled science. There is always a debate among scientists. That is how science works. When liberals, who tend to be educated in verbal fields such as law and journalism, talk about science, it is comical. Come to think about it, the same applies to their understanding of guns and gun culture. But, hey, they are smarter than the rest of us and it is their duty to educate us deplorables.

The reason there is no debate among scientists is that their existence depends on grant money. Climate scientists know that if they don't produce results that align with liberal extremists, their funding will dry up. Most climate scientist would sell their mothers for the right grant.

The only thing climate scientists agree on is that the climate changes. Less than half of them think (NOT know) that some small part of that change may be (NOT is) human-caused.

All the shouting and wailing by liberal whacknuts can't change that or make the human aspect true. Not one of the dire predictions (now well over 40 of them) the alarmists have made has ever come true. Not a single one. LINK

Climate is real. All the hype about it is a hoax.

How convenient that the "settled science" supports policies that tax the fugg out of developed countries, especially the US of A, and hobble our economy, while studiously ignoring the world's largest polluters, hand huge chunks of wealth to Schiffhole countries in the form of carbon credits that can be sold back to industrialized countries who can continue to spew their filth unabated, and btw let the rich fuggers who dreamed all this up get even richer as the brokers of those credits. Al Gore got all his ducks in a row to become a broker before he began his crusade.

Bernie Madoff is a small-time grifter by comparison.

Well, yes. Climate change is so called settled science - it has the requisite evidence behind it.. Man-caused or even influenced cc is not, and does not to honest science people not pandering for funds (as pointed out in above posts).

Just 20,000 years ago we had continental glaciers a mile thick over much of NA. Sea levels were over 300 feet lower. Alaska was part of Asia, sometimes cut off from the rest of NA by glacial tongues, sometimes with partial or completely open corridors to the south. The Bering Land "Bridge"', a vast fertile, ice-free plain, was 65 -90 miles long and 600 wide, allowing animal and human travel between Alaska and Asia in both directions. Horses and camels both originated in the Americas, later going extinct there for unknown reasons. Not the only ones, either - likely most of which left no or as yet not found fossils behind.

Makes me lol when these yahoos start hyperventilating over a few millimeters sea rise annually.

They obsess the potential and observable negative effects, while totally ignoring the positive. Something wins, something loses.

Fugg 'em all - earth will abide, tho we may not. And who says that would be a bad thing?

You're employing the fallacy of appeal to authority. As Einstein once remarked (when Hitler had trotted out 50 of his best scientists to claim Einstein was wrong), "it only takes one to prove me wrong." In other words, truth isn't established by consensus opinion, but rather, on the basis of whether or not the theory is supported by the evidence. In the case of global warming, the theory does not fit the evidence, no matter how many "scientists" driven by ideology opine otherwise.

Let’s see earth is over 3 billion years old, that’s over 3 billion orbits around the sun with earth traveling at 67K mph on elliptical orbits that very in path by a large degree according to Newton’s studies and placed in his Mathematica Principia. Now let’s take into account solar flare, solar storms and the varying distances the earth is in its elliptical orbits to the sun. Now you push/ agree that climate change is appropriated by man and an agreed upon settled science. Nothing could be further from the truth. You have to be intellectually void to see it as settled science. Only 50 million years ago carbon dioxide was 5 times what it is today on the planet (2,000 ppm then vs 380 ppm today) as Canada was a jungle with fauna and climate similar to Florida. Laughing hard at the stupidity that is bought into by the likes of you. Man has no ability to change the earth’s temperatures in any way, shape or form unless man can reshape the makeup of the sun, and the celestial orbits of the solar system the earth resides in. Such hubris is laughable. Man’s a newcomer to the planet, he’ll have to deal with what the planet dishes out just like all that came before and are now gone.

The effects of volcanic events are difficult to dispute, geology, ice coring etc etc. I can't begin to understand it all, but it's indisputable that huge volcanic events create volcanic winters, ice ages if you will. What does that mean to us, arguing about climate change? Well, it appears to be a near perfect modeling laboratory that compresses the train of cause and effect of huge releases of particulates and sulfur dioxide that are thrust into the atmosphere during these events. It compresses time into geologic mini history books so that we can study and comprehend these events instantly instead of over several lifetimes of scientists. That information thus gathered, appears to suggest the earth heals itself after these events by...wait for it..the formation of excess co2 in the atmosphere, the slowing of co2 absorption in by the oceans, to create a "greenhouse" effect to recover us from the volcanic winter. Eventually the co2 levels diminish and the temperatures stabilize. Read Rossimp's post above, the earth can handle the pittance man produces. Total opinion from this point on: We can take our time, slowly wean ourselves from fossil fuels if we think we have to....THERE IS NO URGENCY. The doomsayers are tv hucksters, "hurry act now, the next 5 callers get a federal grant".

Getting settled science from the DNC that affects taxes and regulations and like getting settled science from the man boy love assoc.

When I saw how wrong peer reviewed published studies by fisheries proffesors got "threshold of extinction", I realized that science by grants in publicly funded universities it trash.

If the earth warms up some and the sea levels rise a little why is that necessarily a catastrophe? Being able to raise crops farther north might help feed people. Galveston Island over 100 years ago put up a rock wall and pumped enough sand over the wall to raise and protect the city. Flying over this country I am much impressed with how much unused rocks and for that matter water we have. In our state Red River was straightened and lined with rocks and I am positive our "threatened" coasts could be lined also. My decades of experience at my own place tells me that applying rocks to wet and eroding places lasts probably forever. Solutions aren't being sought by climate alarmists. Their intentions are evil.
