https://vdare.com/posts/nyt-virginia-turned-blue-because-of-immigration

The fields of Loudoun County are disappearing. In their place is row upon row of cookie-cutter townhouses, clipped lawns and cul-de-sacs — a suburban landscape for as far as the eye can see. Unlike three decades ago, the residents are often from other places, like India and Korea. And when they vote, it is often for Democrats.

“Guns, that is the most pressing issue for me,” said Vijay Katkuri, 38, a software engineer from southern India, explaining why he voted for a Democratic challenger in Tuesday’s elections. He was shopping for chicken at the Indian Spice Food Market. “There are lots of other issues, but you can only fix them if you are alive.”

Virginia has a sizeable immigrant community, making up more than 12 percent of the state’s total population. One in six Virginia workers is an immigrant, while foreign-born entrepreneurs account for more than a fifth of the state’s self-employed business owners.

We blame everything on the Indians in our county.

Its about 50 50 split Indians to whites.

They are 90 percent liberal.

They just barely vote.

They aint the problem.

Kentucky didn't actually turn blue. Out of 120 counties, 117 of them voted GOP. Pretty much the entire state government is Republican except for the governor,..and the GOP candidate only lost by 5000 votes.

That's what the Browning of America is designed to fix. Lieberals call it progress, like they call queer gay.

LIke FL was in the early 80's and then DE, VA, and NC.... KY and TN are the new hot in thing for Yankee retirees from the NE to go.

You think KY is moving purple now? Just wait until half of Bergen, Passaic, and Somerset County move there in the next 10 years.

I'm a Yankee and am getting sick of them, I cant imagine how you guys feel.

Then again, I've met a crap load of home grown liberal teet suckers native to VA, TN, GA and SC so maybe its just a forgone conclusion either way.

From my perspective the republicrats here in Virginia are not inspiring, dull tepid would be be an accurate description. How about Mitt Romney like runs under the republican banner but would just as comfortable running under the dimocrat, lib, progressive, socialist. banner.

I think more and more people can’t handle freedom and the personal responsibility it takes. Being ruled is easier, and removes personal responsibility.

Just a guess. Re-Districting might have something to do with the shift.

Tennessee, Florida and Texas have no State income tax, add to the trash moving in from NY and California, Illinois as well by the droves, the move to e3scape taxes and bring their politics with them...The Liberals are from the cities, Memphis, Nashville and Knoxville with some Chattanooga thrown in...getting down her eto Jackson as well...
