Going to be giving my GP100 to my 13 year old for his 8th grade graduation gift. Sent it off to Magnaport to get the "velvet hone finish" done, and should look better than new when he gets it.
I want to work up some nice "plink all day" low recoil .38 loads for it. Anyone have any favorites?

I'll second the 2.7gr. B'eye/148gr. wadcutter. It's listed as the 4th alternative definition for "fun" in the new Webster's Dictionary. (Although I prefer 2.2gr.B'eye/ 95gr.semi-wadcutter in a S&W Long, or better yet, a .22 Long Rifle.)
It's all fun!!

The wadcutter Bullseye load is fun, and I also use a 158 gr. lead SWC over 3.5 gr. Bullseye. Will

I happen to use 3.4 Gn of HP 38 under Hornady HBWC's in mine. Definately gentle recoil. You may want to check some manuals and play around with charge weights a bit to get the accuracy you are looking for also. I had to rebarrel my revolver and it's favorite load changed by 0.2 grains.
