We have 5 awesome children and I had mine done about 10 yrs ago.

Not fun for a couple of days; I preferred peas to corn. Sat at my reloading bench and loaded several thousand rounds.

I had it done about 20 years ago. 3-4 days of lessening discomfort. 15 minutes for the procedure? No issues.

IUDs have been known to cause infection and other issues. It is a foreign object in the body. I would not ask my wife to get one.

A vasectomy is more or less non-invasive compared to a hysterectomy.

Daughter was born mid-December in 1981. I got cut the first Friday in 1982. No problems after the procedure and never regretted the decision. Then my bride had to have a full hysterectomy a few years later and that sealed the worries of watching the calendar.

I'll turn 40 next month and we are finished having kids. I haven't scheduled it yet but it's happening in the next couple months. I'm not looking forward to it. I don't expect it be fun. I expect it will be uncomfortable, if not painful. This is all minor bs compared to having to work extra years to pay for another college education, vehicle, possible wedding etc. should one slip by the goalie. I know a guy in his late 40s that has a kid in college and just found out he has another on the way. No thanks

I got mine done when I was 25. Best money I ever spent.

A bunch of us friends from the fire department had to load a buddy up into the bed of a pickup and take him to the ER. He couldn’t wait and got frisky with his wife too soon after the snip-snip and he wound up having a couple of grapefruits for nuts....they got better but he sure seemed to be in serious discomfort at the time. 😂. At the time I didn’t think there was enough ice in Antarctica to deal with that swelling. You know it’s bad when a bunch of paramedics and EMT’s with a 100 years of experience between them are standing around staring at another man’s testicles saying.....”WOW dude that’s crazy, I’ve never seen anything like it before”. 😁

Our last child was born by C-section so my wife had her tubes tied then. I don’t regret the testicular reprieve I was given.

For best results however, it’s always a good idea to have an actual doctor perform the procedure no matter how willing your buddy is to do it or how cheap your buddy will do it for.....as I’m sure you’ve learned by the third time.

Done about 6 months ago. No biggie.
Buddy just had an unexpected bundle of joy at the age of 42. Happy for him and his wife, but so glad I'm not in his position. Lol

I haven’t had the experience of getting my arm cut off either but I’m pretty sure I’d be opposed to it.

Question for those that have done the deal in the last 4-5 years... what did this cost?

Next time you’re in Anchortown run down and ask Steve about it. He says if you take all the pills at once before you go in you’ll hold yer old wacker back out of the way by yourself while the doc does the cuttin, just to be helpful.
