1. I just aquired a Jamison pass around. 243AI, I was told it shoots in the.3s. Best acc. with this rifle was said to be acheived with the 95NPs. I really want to work with the 85TSX and the 87V-max. Is it worthwhile or should I just be happy punchin holes with the NPs?

2. My cousin, who knows nothing of ballistics or smithing, wants to fix up an old Rem mod 722 in 222rem. I'm going to redo the stock for him (refinish and glass bed). He's talking about rebarreling; I told him to wait, see what a trigger job and the bedding do for him first. Any suggestions? (He kinda short on cash, but still wants to try to somewhat keep up with me an the aformetioned AI)

1. You don't know how it will shoot your preferred bullets until you try them. Don't fret before the results are in.

2. Clean the barrel really well (I'll bet it is coppered up), and I'll bet it shoots better than cuz can with just the mods you are doing. If he persists in a rebarrel, try to talk him into 223 or 223 AI.

+1 to utah708 and add that you could do way worst than .5 groups with 95 Nos Partitions. That combo would/could cover 99% of all NA game... and I am not a 244 bore fan.... It's hard to argue with success.

If I could get partitions to shoot into .5 inch groups I'd shoot them and never look for anything else.

Do you have something better to do than play with your new rifle? Try the TSX and see how they work. What have you got to lose?

But I do have to agree with dog shooter...I love Partitions.

I had one of those old 722's in 222. Its a heavy rifle and if that stock is a regular one the comb is really too low for a scope. If you have not started on the stock and its orginal I would leave it alone and sell it for him on some auction. For some strange reason those old guns bring money.

In any case, since its varmint season, shoot it first. If it groups well then just use it as it is. On the positive side those rifles don't make a lot of noise and its very good for chucks under 250 yds without rattling somebodies windows.

All guns should be locked up when not in use!
