I'll be interested to see what the actual price is on this rifle, I've read as high as $1799, and in this video a Sig rep says $1499.

My only gripe is the barrel length.

I'm guessing they are thinking everyone will run a can on it....and it will probably be a good fit for that...but not everyone will. 21" or 22" with the same contour won't add much weight.

That's exactly why I like the offered barrel lengths, and wouldn't be interested in the Cross with a 22" or 24" tube and the associated extra 0.5lb to 1lb of weight. There are plenty of options out there with longer barrels for folks who hunt with bare muzzles, it's nice to see something lightweight that's actually optimized for suppressed hunting. Sig has said that 24" versions will be offered eventually, just not at introduction.
