I just read the two paragraphs in Gun Digest under industry range day. This looks like nice little gun and I would like to read more. Who was headed to the show?
Edit: Found himg (OSU) and posted to his thread
GunsnAmmo article is interesting. Thing is they write a lot about features on the left side of the rifle and magazine, but the single photo of the left side doesn't show any of the features mentioned.....
Question: is the trigger plastic? It looks it.
I know red is the signature Winchester color, but red plastic is notorious for fading to pink with an associated loss of strength...I hope that this has been improved upon...
Hoping to hear first-hand impressions.

Seems like a good rifle for Apple Seed and Jr rifle programs with its simplified field strip routine. Sort of a M1 Garand lite...

Looks pretty nice. I wonder how hard it would be to slap a decent barrel on it?

I know they use Ruger 10/22 mags. I wonder if they will accept a 10/22 barrel. Looks like their price is equal to a 10/22. I don't thing they will get many to buy them unless they are cheaper.

I think I'll buy one.
Despite that idiotic commercial.

I like the way it field strips but that barrel should be threaded at the muzzle end.

Probably a nice .22. I bought a Marlin Model 795 a while ago and it's a good .22 auto built to a price point. The 795's have also developed a reputation for delivering excellent accuracy.
I'd like to see a side by side accuracy comparison.

Yep, that commercial sucks. The most interesting thing it is the rotating target. I want one of those.
The jury is still out on the rifle. I'll wait and might consider it at a reasonable price.
