What's been the market reaction? Is the DOW up or down on that news?

We are paying about a $1.25 and I though that was good. I was just in Hawaii and it's $4 doz eggs at the Walmart and $5 every place else. Bread was $5-$7 a loaf. Two burger king whopper meals was $25. There were lots of chickens running around loose, so if you don't mind plucking chicken was free .

Stormin Norman: Yikes on the prices there in Hawaii! I have been there 5 different times in my life and enjoyed all those visits to 4 different islands immensely. I have not been there in about 16 years now and was not aware of those exhorbant prices. I even have been trying to coax the VarmintWife in "one more" relaxing visit to Hawaii before I cross the great divide. Maybe i'll just put that money in the bank and let the VarmintOffspring partake of it? Sheesh $25.00 for two Whopper meals! Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

I believe that the Feds mandate oxygenated eggs for winter time use.

When my uncle was stationed in Hawaii with the navy during WWII, his commanding officer had an arrangement with a local from the hills to bring him a dozen eggs each week. My uncle was always the one on duty when the eggs arrived. He would take one of the eggs and hard-boil it, then replace it with the others. He never heard anything said about this. He figured that the officer was so glad to get the fresh eggs that he didn't want to question the local and make him mad.

Eggs here are from $1.75 to $3.00 a dozen depending on where they are bought. If they say organic they are $5.00.
