Just finished making a pot full of pulled pork, while it is not very original it is quite tasty.

Got home tonight and the wife had a glass of pinot grigio ready for me to wash down the ceasar salad she'd made and topped with what was left of the turkey that I shot Friday, brined Saturday, slow smoke cooked Sunday, been eating ever since.

Seasoned ground beef(salt,pepper,chili powder)...Cheddar cheese....Shredded lettuce....
Tortillas should be warmed on a cast iron skillet.....Simple...
Add sour cream and salsa....MMMMMMM!!!!

Last night we had steamed Katchemak Bay butter clams. They were a bit big for that method of cooking, so tonight I made soup and cut up the leftover clams. The soup was wonderful, served with potato rosemary bread. It was yummy!

MT-
That looks fantastic! I can almost detect the aroma through the screen. smile

We do soups more in the fall and winter, but even now during summer wink that's a thing of beauty!

I typically like soups in the winter as well, but when one has fresh clams, it seems a shame to freeze them, when a pot of soup would be okay. Besides, it was raining and damp here yesterday.

My wife makes a turkey-white bean soup - the recipe calls it chili, but I wouldn't call it that here smile that is in high demand around the house through the winter and damp fall/spring days. It's a big hit at pot lucks as well.

Of course, we kill a lot of turkeys every fall!

The three I saw along the side of the road must have been those you missed? grin Never saw turkeys on the penninsula before. Seen quail, pheasants, but never turkeys. There were quite a score for our bird list for the festival!

The turkeys are in my backyard! Broad-breasted bronze, specifically.

Tonight, wife is working and nothing much that isn't frozen or too complex for me and the boy.

So, it is looking like maybe Mountain House meal

That is sad too, I am a good cook but I don't feel like thawing anything tonight.

Visual presentation do count.

Just finished (wished I would have taken a picture!) a 1 pound halibut fillet. I cooked it on the grill using a cedar grilling plank. A little ground corriander, fresh ground pepper and a bit of sea salt. I made a lemmon, butter and caper sauce to go with it. I impressed myself, having never done this before! This is one recipe that is a keeper! Oh yeah and a Full Sail Ale to go with it!
