Two situations as different as can possibly exist, since the Germans were defeated after a long fighting retreat, while America was never even invaded. As they retreated, they had to retreat with their prisoners, and place them in already occupied camps behind their lines, which quickly became overcrowded. On top of being overcrowded, their supply lines were cut off for food, potable water, medicine, and pesticides for controlling lice. Lice spread typhus, resulting in mass deaths and piles of emaciated dead bodies. Conditions on the losing side are often horrible vs conditions on the winning side of a war.
That makes sense. You've obviously done a lot of research. What are the ball park figures? Funny how most of those maladies didn't affect Allied POWs nor was there any evidence of mass starvation, medical experimentation, gas chambers (oh, did I mention captured records from IG Farben & Bayer showed Zylon gas was delivered to all the "popular resorts" (according to you) by the tons?

It's not speculation, jorge. The first documentaries, created by the US Military, after the liberation of the camps, state quite clearly that the camps were infested with typhus, and that most of the inmates had it, and that the corpses were of inmates who died from it. They discuss the measures taken to battle it, and bring in massive quantities of medical supplies and vast numbers of medical personnel, food, potable water, etc., to address the problem.
POWs were generally kept in Germany, where conditions didn't deteriorate to nearly the same degree till after the actual invasion, and then they were quickly freed.
