I was wondering what other forums are out there geared toward AR and Tactical guns. I listed a Ior-Valdada scope a few days ago on the campfire with no responses. It might get more attention on another website.

Decent source of information, but I’d agree with a couple others above - the Mods are very aggressive, much less of an open forum than here.

Agreed, 68 Forums is another good resource. It's not all about the 6.8 SPC and the guys on there are pretty friendly and very knowledgeable. But make sure you follow their classifieds rules to a tee.

The Moderators at AR15 are the worst. 68Forums are much better.

I have been a member @ ar15.com for many years and while there is certainly some dislike for how the site is operated from the POV of selling items AR15 gets a lot of traffic so it's a good site to advertise on. Snipershide is good for higher end tactical stuff. I also like rimfirecentral for rimfire related items. 68forums? It's a pretty specialized site and while I have been a member of the 68forums for a number of years I have not gotten to the 50 post minimum so I can't advertise there.

Then there's 24hourcampfire. Perhaps the least organized classifieds site for selling gun stuff on the internet. Everything is mashed together and compared to most other gun site classifieds it really does not have much of a feedback system. But that's also the advantage of the Fire. In the more organized and categorized sites one must go to the appropriate sub forum to even see the ad. So unless I am say looking for a scope on AR15's classifieds I will not see any scope ads because I did not bother to look at the scopes for sale forum. But here on the Fire I get to wade through the scope ads right along with say the rifle ads because they are all in one place. So perhaps I stumble across a scope for sale that interests me even though I was not looking for a scope. That's the big advantage of ads here on the fire.

Waste of time over there. IOR is the devil and a piece of pooppp. I have an older one and like it a lot. What do I know though? I don’t have have a $3000 scope.

I left ar15.com over a decade ago. Lots of little children in their parent’s basement. Another vote for m4carbine.net.

The sites listed are all the ones I even look at. On your ad not generating interest it could be a few things. Timing is one, pricing/value, lack of pictures, etc. I didn't go look for it so don't know if any of these apply but consider it. Sometimes we value our own stuff higher than it'll sell for. I'm guilty of it at times.
