Does anyone know of a Gunsmith who can add or make a Wide Hammer Spur for a Ruger SP101???
I have 2 of these and since i am getting arthritis in my hands I can't cock the hammer with just one thumb I have to use both.
I have several other makes of Pistols with Wide Hammer Spurs & it is no problem to cock the Hammers so I know that is the solution for the Rugers.
Any Help??

My suggestion is that you start by contacting Ruger. I have found them to be very customer friendly. I’ve seen different types of work they’ve done so I don’t think it’s out of the question that they may have a solution for you.

Posting the query in the Handgun Forum may elicit some good advice too.
Just a thought: would a lighter mainspring help? (Given reliable ignition that is.)

There is a gunsmith in Gaylordsville, Connecticut named Louis Rotelli who did a hammer spur for me for a Bernardelli Italia 20 gauge. Great job, reasonable price and it's held up well in shooting the gun at skeet. I'll send you a PM with his complete contact information.
