They do. To be fair, it was not a "press conference", but her time at the podium. When they vote, and their voting record, combined with previous statements and votes, it all builds up the drama for them. This is the second time she's had everyone wondering. Kavanaugh vote was the other... Build the doubt, create the hype, then vote for the home team. Dramatics.

If Schiffty didn’t have his head up his arse, he would have let in the Replubic witnesses in the house... He didn’t so, it was DOA... not because it’s right or wrong, but because it wasn’t bi-partisan.
