I usually don’t get into politics because the thought of the likes of Pelosi and her entourage make me want to inject liquid plumber (in the grey bottle) directly into my jugular through my eyeball.
But, seeing all these replies and all this talking about the SOTU is encouraging. Think I’m gonna pour a bourbon, put the kids in bed early, and find an unabridged version of it to stream this evening. You need to see the greatest SOTU and the ass Piglosi made of herself. Found one that starts in 2 minutes.

I am so proud of our President Trump and I am even prouder to be an American after his outstanding speech. It was a classy event. So many good people recognized in such a brilliant and moving way. What a wonderful way to pay tribute to Rush and wish him well.

My wife is pretty happy at me yelling at the TV screen every time they zoom in on the ‘other’ side of the room remaining seated when Trump says something about putting America first. Kids won’t be sleeping much until the second run through of the SOTU is over.

I didn't watch, but did catch some of the online media coverage while it was taking place. It was pretty funny. In particular, NPR was hilarious. They assembled a team of "experts" who "fact-checked" literally every sentence online, almost in real time. Basically, providing a pre-rebuttal rebuttal.
If there is one positive that has come out of the divisions in the US, it is that the American media no longer bothers to hide behind a cloak of so-called professional objectivity. Anyone with a functioning brain can easily see how partisan they all are. Tigers no longer hiding their stripes.
