Bingo! I just checked the results, Gay Pete has 26.2 percent, and Bernie has 26.1, with 97 percent of the vote in.
Bernie is going to win this thing. The Dem leadership could not have all the headlines, "BERNIE WINS IOWA." This is their nightmare since they believe a socialist can't win the Presidency.
The Dem leadership deliberately slowed down the announcement, this cushions the bad news for Biden, and cushions the good news for Bernie.

Buttgigger is the same formula as 0bama - an unknown with very little political history to criticize one way or another and a member of a "minority" group to shield them from criticism.

I don't think it's going to work this time but it is possible that it will if we, as opposition, are afraid to condemn and ridicule him in the strongest, most public ways.
