I "borrowed" a Zeiss Conquest from my son's rifle to see how well an old Remington Varmint Special shoots. It shoots very well! Now I am going to replace his scope.

I am looking close at a Zeiss V6 3-18x50 with a #6 Plex. Of course I can get a V4 for less.

I am more interested in getting the better scope and not the difference in money. Anybody here actually own or has first hand experience with both of the scopes?

No first hand knowledge but im in the same boat and was looking at the scope you mentioned. Look at the subtension on that reticle. For me it is thicker than i care for. Might work for your application though.

I just picked up one v4 and a v6. The v4 4-14x44 the v6 3-18. I feel like the glass on v6 slightly better but I like the view through the v4 better. Seems easier to get behind. I got zmoa-t30 in the 4 and the illuminated duplex in v6. Like the hold overs in the 4 more as of now.

Thank you. I wonder if both will be as reliable as the other when turning turrets. That is most important to me.

I have both. Like them both. Both exceptionally reliable for dialing. I don't have any problem with the eye box on the V6"s. I think it has more to do with proper check weld on the stock.

I also have owned both. Still have the v4 4-16x44 with zmoa reticle. I wasn't real fond of the v6 #6 reticle as it was hard to get behind for me. Liked tthe eye box much better in the v4. Sold the v6 and bought a nightforce shv 4-14 I like it pretty well but still like v4 best. All seemed to track perfect.

Which ever route you go check out the “demos” at Red Hawk. They are substantially discounted and I honestly don’t think they have ever been outside of the box.

I have the V4 4-16 44 on my Volquartsen silhouette 22LR.....been awesome so far.

I just got a v4 4-16x44 and put it on my 30-06, it’s a pretty sweet scope, I’m not completely used to it yet but so far I’m really impressed. Good glass, zero stop is great just like others have said. I’ve always loved my conquest binoculars so I figured I’d get one of their v4 scopes.
