I have a used Vermont Castings Defiant for sale in Maryland. Buyer must pick it up in zip code 20882.
Very good condition but needs gaskets and a catalytic element. Also, there is a ring of rust under the humidifier pot. Gasket kit and optional fire screen are included. The 8” stove pipe in the picture is also included.

This is a terrific stove and I really liked it but I decided to buy a new 2020 emissions compliant model.

These are wonderful stoves and even with some parts needed this is a steal. Mine needs a new element and gaskets too and I wouldn’t it go for 2x this price.

Really Great Stove, heat a 1920 sq ft house with a VC here in MN works down to -30 or worse. Just us more Red Oak.

Hi mjac - Thanks for asking but it's a pick up in Maryland price. Now if only I could get the guy from Pennsylvania to drive down here and pick it up. :-) We are less than a two hour drive from Harrisburg. I priced it low because I realize the geographic limitation of a large no shipping item. I had a local guy interested but his wife was not... a couple of other locals have inquired too. It will sell.

I bought one used(barely) a short time ago. It’s blue enamel and I’m quite certain it’s near 350#. It’s sitting upon a hearth I made. What a heat source. Honestly it just doesn’t get cold enough here for it to be really cranked up. I’ve no doubt what it’s capable of. Awesome.

I believe every ounce! Our business has a box truck w lift gate. Two furniture dollies maxed out to roll into home. Wow.

Regarding the weight of the stove. Having all the mass of the cast iron is part of what makes the stove so great. But the quoted weight may scare folks away from buying it. There are ways to reduce the weight for moving it. The firebricks, doors and a couple of metal plates all come off pretty easily. Three guys moved it out of the basement and into the garage for me and they had to go up a flight of stairs.
