I've got two of these that I paid $395 (wholesale) each, one .223 and one .243. I DO NOT have a 22-250. I have not checked my distributors but I did just look at "Bud's" for a data point on what is available to the non-FFL. The two I have were there for $456 and $450 respectively but 22-250s were out of stock. If they stay that way, they are indeed, worth whatever a buyer is willing to pay and I have no issue with the OP trying to sell his at a premium.

A 22-250 in the Remington Model 7 Predator sold for EXACTLY the same price as did the 223 and 243's. The other chamberings, such as 204 and 17 FB have not been made in years. They are very good rifles, I have them in 223, 22-250, and 243, and can attest to the way they shoot...............BUT, they are on the market right now, for less that $400 wholesale. Even the highest price LGS in the city is not going to mark them up double. Show me a link to a model 7 predator in 22-250 for sale.

I have my FFL, and of less than a month ago I received catalogs from 2 different distributors showing the Model 7 Predator in 22-250, as well as 223 and 243 for around $395 dealer cost. I didn't call and see if they were in stock, and it's certainly more than possible that they were sold out, as I had no need to. That is what I am basing my information on.
Over the years I've sold several of these Predators, including several in 22-250. When they first came on the market, retail was in the $800 range. but for some reason, they just did not sell as Remington thought they would, and Remington ceased production. The distributors that were stuck with them have kept lowering the price in order to get rid of their stock. Actually, at one time, Zanders had more of them in 22-250 than 22 or 243. So my point I was trying to make was that the 22-250 is not that rare.
If someone can jack the price up on a gun and sell it, that's fine with me. As a matter of fact, I have a 22-250 Predator that's like new, maybe I should sell it if there getting all that valuable.
