You will definitely hear the birds and insects. Conversations will be much better, but loud public places will be noisy and hard to hear ONE conversation. TV volume can go down as well. Overall worth it to myself.

I agree with everything said above. They take some getting used to. Background noise and multiple conversations are still problematic for me. Tinninitis is reduced.

They can, in fact most do, My other two sets did.

My new ones however are not affected by the wind, they are a Microphone-in-Helix (MIH) version.

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a man a welfare check, a forty ounce malt liquor, a crack pipe, an Obama phone, free health insurance. and some Air Jordan's and he votes Democrat for a lifetime.

Agreed, My new aids have solved some of these problems. They are blue toothed to my phone and I have an app that allows me to make multiple adjustments to tones, volumes, Party vs All-Around.

Party mode is pretty good all by itself when in a loud public place, but adjusting the treble up and the base down makes a huge difference.

What I’ve seen on this thread pretty much sums up my experience and recommendations. I would second the recommendation for Costco if you’ve got one nearby. That’s where I got my new ones last summer for less than half of what I paid for the old ones 8 or 9 years ago and they are much improved.

Me too but I like being able to hear those noises. I drive a Dodge diesel that has an exhaust drone at certain RPM's especially when towing. I recently found out that I can get rid of the drone by just pushing the "Noise filter" button on my cell phone and still hear the people in my truck.

Mine don't if I'm facing the wind because the receivers are behind my ears. I can actually hear someone talking behind me better than if they are in front of me.

I haven't heard crickets or other insects in close to 40 years.
I hear crickets constantly. From soft to loud. Of course, there is not a cavalcade of crickets chirping in the Iowa winter, but at least it's homey. lol

We may know the time Ben Carson lied, but does anyone know the time Hillary Clinton told the truth?

Immersing oneself in progressive lieberalism is no different than bathing in the sewage of Hell.
