After 8 years of Obama IMHO Trump was elected with many protest votes. WV has more registered as democrats and Hillary didn't carry one county in the general election and IIRC Bernie won the primary here. The democrats continue to dig their hole deeper with those of us that didn't really want Trump but he is the better choice. The dems continue to show their insanity by Einstein's definition.

Bernie is better on gun rights than the others. I don't think he can last against Bloomberg who will buy out the other candidates. Trump has already moved on to him.

The Bernie crowd will have a very tough time pulling a lever for Bloomberg, and vice-versa. Some portions of one of those groups will be staying home on election day. This isn't a choice between a handful of candidates that are somewhat similar, where the masses will fall in line and vote for the chosen candidate. Dems are usually good at that, but this time I don't see that happening unless maybe it's somehow Klobuchar in the end.

As long as the economy holds up, Trump will win. Anything can happen between now and the election in November. That being said, I do think Trump will win bigly if he doesn't make a major mistake. Bernie is an independent and I don't think he has a chance to win the Democratic nomination. Remember them saying we can't trust the voters to decide the election? I think Bloomberg and Soros have joined forces to get rid of Trump. Soros put the magic negroe in office and it is his plan for America that is being destroyed. They will stop at nothing to get Trump out of office, voter fraud, illegal voters, even assassination is on the table in my opinion. Expect at least one more mass shooting before the election and a cry for more gun control. They are ruthless and the end justifies the means.

I think the Demorats are too fractured, as a party, to win in 2020, especially with a great economy and facing Trump. I just don't think they can do it, Bloomingidiot's money or not.
Bloomingidiot has got the personality of a dirty dish cloth, at best, and the Dems don't like him or Bernie worth a damn, at least the Establishment doesn't. I just don't see them pulling together enough to beat DJT.
I hope I'm right, I really do. I do NOT believe the sawed-off POS Bloomey can win. He has no popularity outside of New England, and has nothing in common with anyone, anywhere, nothing anyone can latch onto, anyway.

I completed a 34 year federal govt career during the Obama years. To say it was excruciating would be an understatement. Everything we did...every damn thing...centered around affirmative action. That was the primary focus. I'm not bigoted...I just want a level playing field for everyone. It just got old that this demographic, or that demographic, gets preferred treatment because they have a certain lifestyle or color. 99.9 percent of my coworkers, white, black, gay, straight felt the same way. The administration went so far overboard it was downright silly.
Me being a white male in middle management, well, I walked around with a bullseye painted on my chest all the time.
My best day at work was my last day when I left the office, drove 1531 miles, and killed a nice 6x6 bull. Like!

I don't know about the other conservatives on this forum; but, I, for one, want Bernie Sanders to get the Democrat nomination. Aside from the fact I feel he would be the "easier" candidate to defeat, for a multitude of reasons, that's not my main reason. Imagine how we/you will be ostracized when a gay man or a woman articulates positions with which you already disagree. The only reason you will be deemed to possibly disagree with such an intelligent and well-meaning individual will be because you are a homophobe (in the case of Buttigieg) or a misogynist (in the case of Warren).
Harken back to the days of the Obama administration. You know the time? It was the time where, irrespective of how long you held and believed in your positions, as soon as President Obama articulated the opposite position, you became a racist. After all, that was the only reason provided by Democrats for anybody disagreeing with the then President. I scratched my head and though to myself "self, didn't you disagree when Bill Clinton, John Kerry, Al Gore, Jimmy Carter, ad infinitum articulated these same positions?".
So, you want Old Commie Sanders to win since you would not want to defend why having a homosexual in the WH is not a good thing, and you might be called a homophobe, misogynist, or racist? Just lead with the left and finish with the right. Done!

It's not about "caring" about what others think of me. It's about what is articulated, erroneously, to the public at large. Why? Because a huge portion of voters in this country "buy" what is being "sold" in clips they hear on the radio or see on the T.V. So, it's not about me, it's about them. When it came to Zero, there were no reasonable contradictory arguments. Correct. It was only because his opponents were racists, nothing more, nothing less. To be clear, and I don't see how one could gather otherwise from my post about the preferred nominee, I don't want any of them as President. My post made very clear as to my preferred nominee to be defeated by President Trump. I'll try to be more clear in my written expressions in the future.

I would guess about 40% of the voting public is locked in on Trump - regardless of who the democrats nominate
and I would guess that collectively about 35% of the voting public is anti-Trump and will vote for whoever the democrats nominate
but where it gets tricky is how many democrats are going to be pissed off if Bernie doesn't get the nomination because the DNC doesn't want an openly admitted socialist.
and we saw a similar thing play out with Trump and the RNC. Its actually a bit more civilized on the democratic side.
I'm actually more worried about Bernie than Buttigieg, because Buttigieg doesn't have anything going for him other than the LBGTQXYZ vote that at the end of the day is going to be about 4% at best. He's not giving away a bunch of free health care or student loans
That will not overcome the economic message of Trump which will push minorities to vote for Trump as well as blue collar voters in swing states.
Sanders on the other hand, well, people don't give a [bleep] about government debt - hell republicans don't and they're supposed to be the fiscally responsible ones. Bernie gets the nomination and offers cheap healthcare, free college education - and whatever else - there is going to be alot of people I'm afraid that buy into it, especially when Bernie gets more than just a few sound bites to talk about his vision in a debate.
