Had chicken strips and green bean casserole last night.

Both turned out well. Used fresh green beans for the casserole and double battered the strips after an hour in the butter milk.

Not much appetite with my cold. Judy has a roast beef with potatoes in the oven, I'll try to eat a slice.

Wife used the left over beef roast to make a beef & barley soup that was quite tasty.

Cod loins coated with seasoned flour and done in the air fryer, left-over (real) baked potatoes sliced and fried with onion, cabbage (red, green, Napa), carrot, and green onion slaw with vinegar, oil, brown sugar, celery salt, pepper, and regular salt for dressing.

Although, we have a storm moving in so maybe we should save the soup for a possible snow day....

That sounds very good.

Don't get much better than that!

Except with that combo, I like boiled tators with lots of butter, salt and pepper.

Had marinated grilled Mallard breasts and a salad last night. Frying some Louisiana oysters tonight. Dipped in beaten egg coated in powdered club crackers. Dropped in hot grease till golden brown. Haven't decided what to go with it.

The best thing to go with it is more oysters.

Took a couple of pounds of deer burger out of the freezer and made a mess of hamburg steaks. After browning them in the skillet made brown gravy and added some mushrooms and onions. Finished them off in the oven. Wife made some mashed potatoes with cream cheese. Hawaiian rolls on the side. Fresh corn on the cob rounded it off.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.
