Bush Hog and Deere here, both flawless, but they are used for 100+ times the duty you need...

I second woods or bush hog, king cutter finishing mower was garbage, I can't comment on their Brush hogs. I think a flail mower may work better for you depending on how thick the stuff you are mowing is

It sounds like you're doing pretty light work. Any of the common brands should serve you well for a very long time.

My only experience with King Cutter has been with a four foot rotary tiller, and it has been trouble free. I have a 6 foot bush hog that I use on my 45 HP tractor, a Kodiak. It's okay for what I use it for, but when I want to do some serious cutting, I use the big tractor with a 15 foot Bush Hog 2615. As others have pointed out, it's important to decide what you're going to do with a bush hog. If you're just going to do a few acres of food plots a year, you probably don't need a heavy duty one.

Just remember though, it's always better to err on the side of caution, and get something a little bigger and heavier than you think you might need, than to just get the bare minimum.

An old Servis is nearly indestructible if you can find one. I have an old pull type that Noah used to clear the building area for the Ark.... grin

Yeah, unless you are shredding constantly, a Woods is overkill.

Having two of their batwing models is a substantial investment...

They do cut really well though. smile

I am pondering something like this for my needs... my needs are more wood than grass so not what you asked, but maybe?

I have no idea if they are any good, BUT a friend has a a forestry mulcher on a skid steer and it is bad to the bone

Brown. Made in AL but we had a distributor nearby in MI that could order one. Running a 7’ behind a 70hp tractor. Have been knocking down 2” autumn olive with ease using it. Slip clutch instead of shear pins and a 130hp gearbox. Smoothest one I’ve ever used. Size one for the width of your tires and enjoy.

A Brown Tree cutter is beast.

What power line / right away cutters use to reclaim.
