Looking at a GX460 for the wife. How is it off-road? They're basically a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado with a different front grille and nicer interior. We have a Sequoia now (3rd one) but since the Daughter's off to college and we're not doing the travel ball, school sports thing all the time, we don't need such a big vehicle. Wife wants to downsize, were stuck on Toyota's so it's either a 4runner or GX460. I'd like a 4runner trd pro, but I'll rarely drive it, so her choice.

Grocery getters aside and assuming proper installation are you sure they gave you the right belt?

Make sure the belt is routed properly. There's usually a diagram somewhere under the hood- - - - -if one of the heavy load pulleys like the crankshaft pulley, alternator, or the A/C compressor doesn't have enough of the belt wrapped around it, it will squeal. Since it's only happening after startup, pay particular attention to the alternator. Recharging the battery after startup puts a lot of load onto a very small pulley. Jerry

Did it start after the new belt install? If it did then as suggested check belt routing. If noisy before then Stethoscope to listen to each of the pulleys on the system to find the noise. Or take the belt off and spin each one to check noise/roughness as spun. Also recommendation of replacing tensioner at 100k due to stress.

I googled "Toyota w/Hydra bed" and got nothing.... You ranchers gotta get with the program. A tundra with 2 round bales on the ass end and a Trump 2020 sticker on the back window would be MAGA.

Dude, about a month ago we had to borrow a loaner from the local Ford dealer.
Ext cab F450 with a V10.
It rode WAY smoother up front and I loved it off road. Floated around and took off easy when you gave it a little gas.
But it sucked major ass pulling the little hills around here loaded going down the highway. It wasn't totally gutless but I could instantly tell a big difference.
The 6.7 is a beast though, turbo diesels kick ass.

6.7 is a winner for sure. I have duramax in a few but my buddies 6.7 makes me want a Ford for the first time in a long time. Last ones I had were 7.3's in a couple F350 utility trucks close 15 years ago. Still have a 7.3 navstar in an international 4400. Has 490,000 on it. Smokes like hell on start up but runs like a scalded dog.
Big V8 gassers, I have an 8.1l in a GMC 6500 with a 6spd zf trans. Bitch pulls like a locomotive. Gets gallons to the mile though.

Clean the pullys with a wire brush? A little packed grit, salt, dirt in the pulley grooves will keep belt from seating properly... A little lube on the tensioner and work it a few times? Salt corrosion/crust can limit its travel. Both can cause a new belt to glaze up quickly...
Did you wiggle your pullys when the belt was off to see if you have a bad bearing somewhere?

Same here.
Couple days ago I priced out('built') a pickup on-line.
Reg cab SRW F350 XLT with the new 7.3 gas and it was $48k. A bed is about $12k.
Ain't happening this year!

Ain't happening this year! $60,000 for a gasser is complete B.S. I'll take a 5-6 year old low mileage truck every day. 10-15% depreciation in the first year is stupid. With A base model truck, I've rarely used the warranty ever, so that holds low value to me. I treat trucks like [bleep], admittedly, so I could care less about the year/physical condition. I put 45,000 a year on mine and live in it 10-12 hours a day.

Make sure the belt has the same number groves as the pulleys.
If they are correct might look at the idler and other pulleys.
