The results from the biopsy on my prostate indicate no cancer, even though my PSA levels are 26.1. Glad I don't have to deal with that just yet.

My PSA was under 8 and they did a biopsy, came back negative. Their reaction was "see ya in 6 months". Guess I'm now part of the payment plan for their new vacation home.

There's a test where the doc milks the prostate and a test is run on the seminal fluid for a certain antigen which only shows IF you have prostate cancer. A friend had the needle biopsies done and showed negative but the seminal fluid test was positive. my friend elected to have his prostate removed and every slice the pathologist did of his prostate after removal had cancer. His doc told him "you made the right choice". Ask your doc about it.
I had mine removed in 2010 just in time before the cancer got out. I didn't need any radiation or chemo.

I also am glad, If you are a man, it's a matter of time. My dad, uncle and two cousins on his side of the family had it so yes, eventually it’s something that will have to be dealt with.

On a similar note, my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer last week. On Tuesday, after a very tense week, we met with a specialist at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. She told us that it is an 0 on a scale of 0 to 4. Very treatable w/o chemo. Encouraging news!
