We're watching them from the beginning. As usual, Hollywood screws up. I've noticed several times that they've referred to whether or not a handgun is registered. Not in WY. LIberalism as it's best.

Yep. What really lost me was the episode where he turned a bear loose that had killed and eaten a guy. Of course the guy had been left tied to a tree and covered with steaks, but still........

My wife watched all of them on Netflix recently. I'd watch some of them if I was in the house, mostly the last season. Typical of TV in this day and age..........a lot of absolutely stupid stuff, made to capture the audiences attention, with zero authenticity. Some of the episodes were watchable, others left me saying....."really"???

Have said this a couple of times before, but the books just make the tv show look sad. That obsession the tv Walt has with the guy that runs the casino is just stupid, makes him look foolish. Plus, you get the pure, unfiltered Vic.

You want something that has a realistic feel to it, watch Hell on Wheels.

I have set my DVR for all episodes. I hope the Sportsman Channel doesn't screw it up.

May be re-runs, but it sure beats anything TV Show wise they are putting out lately.

Been watching old westerns I've never seen as well.

We did, all of them. I loved the part where his MIL died. He went to the hospital and the nurses told him how she'd asked for him and said what wonderful SIL he was. He looked at the nurses and said something like "You're lying. She was a hateful, venomous old bitch and the world's better off without her".

The author is from WY, this area (Buffalo), and places in the books/TV are real, such as the "Busy Bee" for breakfast. Scenery isn't from here though, filmed in NM. Haven't read the books yet, but the show picked up speed/quality as it went, but yeah the obsession with the casino guy almost made it jump the shark, but they pulled it back.

If ya meet Vic in person, she's pretty small.

Lou Diamond Phillips plays an Indian in this one. He's played Indians and Hispanics but is neither. He's 1/2 Filipino. He was born at the US Naval base at Subic Bay, Philippines. His mother is Filipino, his dad of Irish lineage.

I don't think it's accidental. started watching some tv shows lately. Hadn't watched much if any tv for 20 years. Too busy. Now that I'm retired, I kind of enjoy watching some in the evenings.

I've noticed on several occasions Hollyweird injecting their SJW and PC scat in many of the newer shows. Some of it downright disgusting.

They just can't help themselves.

Slaves get what they need. Free men get what they want.

Rehabilitation is way overrated.

Orwell wasn't wrong.

I hear on the news about “unregistered” guns all the time! Even local news sometimes mentions unregistered long guns!
People who aren’t gun people don’t know any better, and most movie people aren’t gun people. I constantly catch comments like that, I constantly see actors ignoring gun safety rules that would get you thrown off of a gun range.
There’s real life, and then there’s television. Even the news casters can’t recognize the difference.
